My son is just turned 3 and is potty trained for weeing but we are having nightmares getting him to poo in the potty/or toilet. He just does it in his pants which is a nightmare to clean up as i'm struggling with a broken leg. Any suggestions?

How about a star chart? and big up any successes with loads of clapping and a telephone call to DH or someone else saying how clever he is.

Good Luck!

My ds wouldn't poo in the loo or a potty until he was, I think, nearly 4. He seemed to be really scared of it and got very constipated. He was good at telling me when he needed to poo, so I just used to put a pull-up on, he'd poo, I'd take it off, end of story. Then we were on holiday and our room was on the 7th floor. He needed a poo and I said he'd be back in the pool quicker if we just nipped to the loo. He very timidly agreed. I had to hold him very firmly when he sat on the loo for another few weeks. then he was fine. Your ds will get there!
