No effect to stinging nettles

My 2 year old daughter ran through and fell in a large bunch of stinging nettles, she was badly stung on her hands and feet with blisters all over them, but through the entire time they did not effect her at all there was no sign of discomfort she didn't cry or scratch the effected areas , and walked/ran normally even with the blisters on the bottom of her feet being the worst area effected, is that normal and should it be a cause of concern ?

My dd was the same when she grabbed stinging nettles- I remember from school being told that if you grab them, it won't hurt, but if you handle them gingerly, they will sting? Can't see how that can be true though.

Does she normally cry with other small injuries/bumps/grazes/stings? and scratch?

As a one-off I personally would note it down but not worry. If it kept on happening I'd mention it at the doctors next time I went.

She does cry a bit, to various bumps and scraps but more a shock thing I think and once distracted from the bump or scrape she stops , just seemed strange with the amount of blisters and the fact she displayed no discomfort in fact took no notice at all
