Baby bald patch

DS is 7 mo but still has a bald patch on the back of his head.

He's had it from not long after birth, seems to be from lying in his cot as it was right where the back of his head rests on the mattress - but he spends most of his waking time sitting up now so I can't work out why it's not improving. The rest of his hair is thickening up well. Doesn't bother me but occurred to me today and wondered if it's common?

He may be sitting up, but how long is he asleep for? I'm sure it will start to grow soon

He likes his sleep - 12 hours at night and 2 -3 hours of naps.

Think it's probably just that then. It will sort itself out over time

Both of mine have had it. Does grow out once he's up and about more. Don't worry.

Is he sleeping on his side or belly yet? Once DS started sleeping in different positions it eventually grew!

No, now he's discovered sitting up all thought of rolling about or being on his front has gone out of the window!

Oh yes, the friar tuck look. Dd had this, started getting better from about 8 months when she started sleeping on her side.
