I don't love my kids

I have two kids. I don't have depression or anything like that but I have never felt the unconditional love for them that supposedly comes with being a mother. I treat them well and care for them but I see them as any other children. Does anyone else feel that they don't love their kids?

I suspect you do have some sort of depression. The fact that you look after and care for them tells me you have some love/nurturing qualities towards them . Motherhood is difficult I love my kids but can quite happily pass them to GPS for a few days to deal with cos quite frankly they are hard work and mentally draining. How old are you're dc? Do you get any support from their Dad or Grandparents?

Please try and love them, fake it til you make it. I cant imagine anything worse than thinking my mother didn't love me.

Were you loved by your parents?

If you didn't love your first child, why did you have another?

Have you ever spoken to your doctor about PND? It can go on for years and this can be one of the ways it manifests itself.
