Four year old suddenly wetting the bed at night

My four year old (turned four in July) started school 1.5 weeks ago. She is very happy and excited about school and is apparently settling in really well.

However, a week before school started she began wetting the bed every few days, and this has continued with more frequency and in the last week it's been almost each night.

We get her up when we go to bed to visit the toilet but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Is this a normal reaction to a big change in her life? Any suggestions?

Worms?

She has very recently been wormed, but thanks for the suggestion.

I don't want to alarm you but any sudden increase in bedwetting/resumption when a child has been dry could be Type One diabetes. Other symptoms include weight loss and thirst. It probably isn't that but it's worth having in mind because it really does come on from nowhere. It's very easy to diagnose with a trip to the docs but you don't want to delay if it's a possibility.

Thanks Lovetunnocks. She hasn't lost any weight but I will keep an eye on her drinking and definitely bear it in mind for next time we see her doctor.
