Infant Gaviscon Night Feeds

I am trying to give my 6 week old Gaviscon - we tried spoon (ha) and syringe (hated it more than life itself) so am now using bottles with a very small amount of water and /or breast milk in.

However, in the middle of the night at the 2am and 5am feeds it's taking a long time to get downstairs mix the sachets into a paste with water and then add to bottle. In reality it's probably 5 minutes but this is a long 5 minutes when your baby is screaming to be fed and it's that time of night - it wakes us all up too much.

The sachets say to use immediately but does anyone know what would happen if we made these bottles up before bedtime? Would the medicine still be effective?

thanks for advice

well I bottle fed but what I was make up the bottle as normal and then keep them in a cool box with loads of freezer blocks to keep them cold. I took one out when dd woke up, warmed it in a tommee tippee bottle warmer for a min to take the edge off, added the gaviscon and fed as normal. It only took a couple of minutes and nobody woke too much!
