Babysitter quick question

ThunderClown · 19/08/2015 17:43

Going to be leaving DD age 3 and DS 8 months with 18 year old babysitter for an hour 3 times a week so I can go to an appointment. Is £10 per hour ok? I've never used a babysitter before. Thanks!

Where in the country are you?

Doublebubblebubble · 19/08/2015 17:52

Id say that that's more than enough...
Fwiw though - do make sure that this teenager is reliable and trusted -is she/he training jn childcare??- teenagers are flaky at the best of times x

I trust her- she's lovely and it's only for an hour and her teacher mum is just over the road. She's spent a lot of time with them both.
We're in Northern Ireland but forces so we're all from all over the place!

Probably too much per hour.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 19/08/2015 20:00

£6 - £7.50 would be enough.

I pay dd's nursery keyworker £7 per hour.
It was cheaper than I was expecting but was what she asked for.

FabulousFudge · 19/08/2015 20:02

I would do £10 as it's a regular commitment and you want her to keep doing it.
