Babysitter quick question

ThunderClown · 19/08/2015 17:42

Going to be leaving DD age 3 and DS 8 months with 18 year old babysitter for an hour 3 times a week so I can go to an appointment. Is £10 per hour ok? I've never used a babysitter before. Thanks!

I pay mine only £5 an hour for when the DCs are asleep and £6 when they are awake and she's 22.

My 2 DCs are older but I have only ever paid £6 max, even when they were much younger.

I pay £8 per hour for babysitting and she is crb checked and first aid trained x

That's a lot.
My dd gets £8 an hour off someone she sits for each week (usually for between an hour and an hour and a half) and she thinks she is vastly overpaid takes it though.
She would happily do it for a lot less (although the 8month old will be harder work, so maybe £7.50 - £8 is about right).
