looking for recommendations please for some toys for DD; I feel she's getting a little bored with some of the ones she has

She's not mobile yet, no crawling but can sit up

Thanks

A ball pit and bag of balls kept her happy for ages around this age - loved to sit or lie in them and also enjoyed putting the balls back in the bag and then emptying them again! A few balls rolling around outside of the ball pit encouraged her attempts to crawl. At almost 2 yrs old now she still gets some use from it.

Thanks I'll maybe give that a try. I put her in the balls at her sensory class but she doesn't look thrilled when she's in!

A treasure basket
Fill a basket with items from around the house made from wood or metal and fabrics and let your DD explore the different shapes and textures.
Stacking beakers are great too and seem to be enjoyed by all ages.

Dunelm do bags with a variety of rubber ducky type bath animals. DD loves them ... to chew, feel, put into and out of the bag etc. You could easily make something like it with any cloth bag and plastic animals.

Ooh fab thanks, I'm usually quite inventive with household stuff, need to up my game

She has stacking cups but I think I have more fun with them than her Grin

Board books were a massive hit with my DD at that age. She got a shape sorter at 5 months too and from about seven months enjoyed eating the shapes and bashing them together! The shape sorter will have a good couple of years life in it too as she gets older.
