Hi All,

I'm just looking to hear some opinions/experiences on when to have DC2. I know everyone's different and there is no "right time" but I'd just like to hear others thoughts on the matter based their own experiences. My DS is 6 months old.

Thanks everyone this has been really helpful. I initially thought that 3 years would have been quite a gap for them to play together etc so it's great to hear that's not the case! 3 sounds like the perfect number!

Mine are 9 and 11 with a 23 month gap and it's been perfect so far, pretty well all the other families we know have a two year gap. However with the oldest heading off to secondary school now, the GCSES and A levels in the same year is starting to worry me, as is the possibility of having them both at university at the same time.

Dd1 was 2.5 when dd2 was born.
I've found it a good age gap tbh.
Apart from dd1 wanting to toilet train when dd2 was five weeks old lol.
It's hard at times but I imagine any age gap will be tough.
I'm glad I had the second one before I got too used to sleep again lol x
