I think I need to update my 7 month olds toys between now and Christmas. Unfortunately for her, her birthday and Christmas are in the same month.

She loves her door bouncer, rattles, donut ring stacker (just sucks the rings) books, stacking cups, splashing in the bath, spitting out any food in her mouth, playing with anything with bits that she can suck and any random crap that she finds eg bits of paper!

What did your 7month-1 year old enjoying playing with?

Place marking, if that's ok! Hopefully someone will be along with some ideas.

Extension leads

Just remember wondering when DS would be interested in actual toys rather than extension leads at that age. Thankfully it's all age appropriate toys finally (3)

???? I know what you mean, mine doesn't seem interested in proper toys at all.
Everyone raves about Lamaze toys she she's very blah about them

These Tomy eggs and Melissa and Doug cog caterpillar are my 9mth DTs favourites at the moment

Thank you, I've been wondering about those eggs they're v popular on Amazon and just discovered Melissa and Doug, their stuff seems very solid.

Actually just thought, the one item I did get that came into its own and still used is a wooden bricks walking trolley cart thingy

It helped DS learning to walk, he still builds towers from the blocks and it's now a teddy bears pushchair often

Yes to eggs, ds is obsessed with this bathketball game for the bath www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1816860.htm he also loves megablocks especially the little people that you can get with them. Anything noisy so shakers. He's just turned one and got lots of duplo that he loves and some happyland toys. He is also obsessed with his ball pit and tunnel. Oh last one- a bubble machine is fab!

Kids are crazy for those eggs.

My youngest siblings quite a bit older, and of course loved all their toys, Playmobil Knights Castle,Wii controllers, marbles...
I would invest in a few things that she will enjoy now and will be good to play with for a long time.
Like the Playmobil 123 range and Happyland from ELC.

Also, does she have musical instruments? Every toddler loves those!

I was coming on to say the eggs!! They don't look like much but kids love them. They are my go to present for toddlers.

I'd invest in a toy kitchen, both my boys have enjoyed them from the age of 1. In the meantime I bet your DS will enjoy the pots and pans.

I'll tell you what else my 9mo loves, those tv's you wind up and the picture spins round and it plays a bloody irritating tune

I second the toy kitchen suggestion. Also an indoor play tent went down a treat with mine (we had a teepee kind of thing).

Thank you everyone I've started a list on my phone, some of those things (like kitchen/ happy land etc) I think could wait til Christmas/birthday but they're on the list.
Stress bucket- I actually put that drum in my Amazon basket a couple of weeks ago but couldn't decide and never actually bought it, glad to hear it is good!

Agree with PP - the eggs were a huge hit with DS. Also wooden bricks, musical instruments, and a remote control (got a cheap universal one and took batteries out! Brilliant for teething and the buttons were a source of endless fascination).
