Which rear facing car seats would you recommend?

Just as the title says really. I'm looking for a rear facing isofix car seat, but the britax ones seem rather expensive. I know safety has no price, but I thought there might be some safe and economical seats out there.

ERFs do tend to be more expensive.
I know you said you didn't want to get a Britax but I do think they are worth the money. We bought 4 - 2 Britax Dualfixs (1 for each of our cars) and also bought a Britax Maxfix for each set of grandparents as they look after DS a lot.
I think DS looks comfier in the DualFix but the Maxfix is quite a bit cheaper.

There's a car seats section under products OP which usually has lots of ERF chat on it :)
