which mattress?

what type of mattress is best for cot bed? I'm thinking of getting spring mattress rather than foam as it's for a cot bed so would like it to last.

also would I need to buy a new one again if we had another child?

budget not an issue as I'd really just like to get a "good" one that'll last, but is if worth splashing out on or is basic spring just fine?

yy to Sprung for a cotbed. We got foam and its gone flat so no chance of using it for ds when he goes in there (will be going in at nine months). Id only buy a new one for the next baby if (1) they are going in it from birth or (2) if it has been out of use and stored in an attic or garage between kids.
