Can anyone help with some words of advice?
My 2 year old DD started with holding her poo for up to a week at a time while in nappies. I went ahead with toilet training as she expressed an interest in using the toilet. She was dry within 4 days and is still doing really well. However she still won't poo!
Have tried all sorts of things. Various potties, toilet seats, nappies over potty etc. I have various new books lined up to read and we've tried watching movies. She just won't let go! I now have her on lactulose and suppositories but the she still with holds even after a suppository! She has a really good diet and at least tonight she did give it a fair go. It just seems she can't master the tecnique required. I know it is common with toddlers but it is stressful and tiring.
Any words of wisdom much appreciated!!

Maybe a bit of bribery is needed, like a small chocolate or a sticker etc for a poo in the potty? It might just sway things your way.

Sometimes a warm bath relaxes things downthere as well.

Have tried a bit of bribery. She really looks forward to an ice lolly when she does go! Also to go out and do fun stuff.

The bath does work and she has pooed in there a couple of times. I want to try and avoid this if I can as I don't want that to become the next habit! But going in the bath is better than not at all I guess.
