Career development loans/Future Finance

Hi - I'm thinking of doing a masters degree to convert my chartered institute of building accredited degree to become eligible for RICS membership and chartered surveyor status. I will have to self-fund as I already have a degree. Does anyone have any experience of education finance and pitfalls to watch out for? TIA
