My ds3 is 4 months old his eyes are still blue are they likely to stay this colour now? Ds1 eyes changed to brown but I can't remember by what age they had changed.

I have brown eyes, DH has blue.

DDs eyes at birth looked blue/brown. They were bright blue from about 3 months to 6 years.

Then they turned (a very desirable) green.

DC1's went from dark blue to brown in a matter of weeks.

DC2's went from dark blue to teal blue by about 3 months. She's now 13 months and they're gradually going deep sea green from the pupils outwards.

I started to see flecks of brown around the pupil of DD's eyes when she was oh, approaching a year old I think. Everyone said it was far too late for them to change but I knew what I was seeing! They are now dark hazel.

Eldest ds has light hazel eyes. They were still bright blue on his first birthday. He was about 1.5 when they changed.
My 3 other blue eyed babies stayed blue.
My other 2 brown eyed children and brown eyes at birth.
So only one of my 6 actually changed eye colour.

DS1 had very very dark blue eyes at birth - they turned brown at about 5 months. I'd expected it to happen sooner, and gradually but no, it was like one day he had dark blue eyes, the next he woke up with brown!

With DS2 I had expected the same (both parents with brown eyes). His eyes were a slightly lighter blue, but not the light blue that blue eyed babies have, iyswim. He is almost 3 now, and they have gradually changed over time so that he has greyish bluey eyes with a hazel ring around the pupils. Not at all what I anticipated, and it has attracted a lot of 'hilarious' milkmen type jokes... He seems to have inherited his paternal Grandmother's eye colour(s) as hers are just the same, but it took a long long time for them to change.
