Nemo - it's good to have an interest you know

flamesparrow · 15/11/2006 10:48

Noooooooooooooooooooooo don't tell me you love swaddlebees... I will be forced to spend money I don't have.

MissLily · 15/11/2006 10:57

i've got some swaddlebees, which are very cute, but sorry to add a down note, but i do find them a bit leaky compared to bamboozles, even with 2 microfibre inserts Nemo, what do you stuff yours with, or are they not the pocket sort? Am quite excited about the impending arrival of some wam-bamboos which i couldnt resist as they were 3 for 2 on ebay. Must stop buying now!!

Just one hemp? is it swaddlebees brand?

Nemo1977 · 15/11/2006 11:09

dont know whose brand as was given the boosters but works well. Have sort of double folded it in the crotch so its all under where DD pees...dont know if it helps that dd is chunky so the fit is really nice aswell.

Well, i guess they might improve when ds gets a bit bigger, he's just 10 months.

Nemo1977 · 15/11/2006 12:45

misslily DD is 11mths tommorow but has chunky legs..maybe he is in between sizes??

OP posts:
MissLily · 15/11/2006 14:51

could be - i did buy the large size and his legs, whilst not being thin sticks, are not really that chunky.

Nemo1977 · 15/11/2006 19:51

thats probably it..DD has a medium and a large but the medium is a much better fit at the minute.

ah good, i feel much better about my purchase of swaddlebees; must stop putting people off them!

mamijacacalys · 15/11/2006 20:23

LOL Nemo
Have recently seen an ad for the 'organic cotton velour' swaddlebees. They look sooooo cute.
Are these the ones you bought? I have really fancied them as have only been using Bamboozles to date with DD (4 months). As she is a whopping 17lbs already and is chunky of belly and leg, is there any point buying medium? Or will the large be too leaky?

MissLily · 15/11/2006 20:56

I would say get one in large and see how it goes, if she's got chunky thighs, you might be ok. Mine arent the velour ones, they have a fleece inner which forms a pocket for stuffing and a waterproof outer which comes in various colours. i think the organic velour ones have to have a wrap?

Bagpuss30 · 16/11/2006 10:20

The organic velour ones do need a wrap. I have one organic velour fitted swaddlebees and also one organic velour pocket one too (still needs a wrap though). I like the pocket one best and stuff with a swaddlebees hemp insert - I find it very thirsty and neater than the fitted one which has a flap out booster which is very long and gets in the way a bit. Both are lovely and trim and I've never had a leak.

Thamks guys. Am off to purchase...
