Woke today to the dc arguing over setting the table. It's their one chore and they always argue over it.

DS had to be prised off the iPad to help. They argued over breakfast.

Showered ds after breakfast and he got water in his eyes and screamed as if he'd been stabbed. He's 8, not 2.

Was so cross that I shoved the sponge at him and called him a baby and walked off.

Then I had a shower and dd left for her school trip without saying goodbye to me :( She's 11.

FFS. I hate mornings like this, and I hate feeling like a crap mum. And I hate the dc arguing All. The. Time. So wearing. And what if dd has an accident on the school trip? I didn't say goodbye :(

You aren't a crap mother.
Pick up any newspaper and read about the horrors in the world and you will see you are not a crap mother. You are a normal human being who has her limits and who's reasonable requests of her children are being ignored. That would piss of anyone. You do a million jobs a day for your family and if you are t getting much in return anyone would be annoyed at that!
Give your daughter a big cuddle when she gets home. Tomorrow is a new day.
