18 month old and pillow

I've been reluctant to let my dd have a pillow in her cotbed but I think it's time she had one. When she's on our bed she always snuggles up to the pillows and falls asleep easily.
Can she just have a normal pillow or should I get a special one for toddlers?? Is there still a danger??

We got a toddler one in IKEA. It fits the cot bed better than a standard pillow.

My dd is 13months old and I've wondered this also, she gets in our bed and is out like a light. All snuggly and cosy.

I bought a toddler duvet and pillow set from Argos, along with some bedding. Both mine seemed to sleep better when we gave them a pillow.

John lewis one good. at 18 months, they can turn around and adjust so wouldn't worry

They are ok from 1 year. I used a normal adult sized flat pillow

Do I have to get a special one or will a normal do for now??

normal is fine

Hopelass · 14/06/2015 19:18

We used a normal flattish one from 14 months and he sleeps better for it.

HeadDreamer · 14/06/2015 19:21

I got one from John Lewis. It fits the pillowcase for cot bed bedding. DD1 is still using it and she's 4yo.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 14/06/2015 19:28

We used a normal flat one from around 2 I think and now she's 4 she has a higher puffy one from IKEA it's lovely and snug

I bought my DS from Dun Elmm just because it fits better.. They do love a pillow when they are give one

kate7590 · 16/06/2015 21:12

My LB had a toddler pillow and duvet from 12months. He's nearly 16months now and has had a standard single duvet (tucked under the mattress) and a standard pillow for a month or so and loves it.

We got a silent night cot bed pillow for our littlun. He loves it and seems to sleep better with it. I wouldn't recommend a normal sized pillow, they are too big and thick. This one is lightweight and just the right size x
