Thrush?

My daughter is nearly 6 weeks old and I've noticed a thickish white discharge right inside her vagina/vulva. In hospital the midwife said a bit of discharge is normal immediately post birth but I'm wondering if this is thrush. How can you tell? What should I be doing? Should I clean it all off or leave it there? First baby so don't really know what to do. Help please.

May well be thrush but I'd ring the health visitor and ask them to come round (or go to a clinic if there's one in the next couple of days) to be sure - they can reassure you or advise on treatment if necessary, take care ( and congrats on your dd btw!)
