Brushing teeth failure

DD is 9months old with 8 teeth and HATES me trying to brush them. She screams and squirms and hits me and clamps her mouth shut. I feel like a delinquent parent as I don't do it every day but its just such a battle. Any tips to make it easier?

Humm, ds has been practicing since he first noticed us doing it at at least 6 months old so thats maybe why hes so fine with it, if most dont get keen till 18 months? He is very supervised and I think its ok .... I thought I was being hyper vigilant as I reeaaaally dont fancy him having to have anything nasty done at the dentist! But now itl be a new parenting worry for me oh no!

One thing that helps when they get older, is using disclosing tablets, which stain the plaque on the teeth. my girls use these once a week, as it reminds them how long and how thoroughly they have to brush in order to get their teeth clean. They also enjoy running around sticking out their bright pink tongues.
