Hi,

Ive got to DDs - 10 and 7 and they are more and more online on our family computer and now we've just got an ipad.

I try to keep an eye on them but I'm not very techy and a bit worried about what I should be doing to make sure they are safe online.

Has anyone got any advice? Thanks

not techy at all but I do know that ipads have a very good parental control 'button'. I would engage that (Google it, its fairly easy) and potentially add a passcode to open the iPad that the DC don't know so have to ask you to enter and thus you know when they started using it (if you're worried about how long they are having screen time for)

our BT broadband has restricted settings to filter out porn, gambling, violence etc. bit of a faff to set it up, you have to request a pin code. The settings mean I can't access facebook or listen to certain music videos on you tube via my laptop anymore.
