what do you all play with your babies? Peekaboo is a current favourite but getting just a little bit monotonous! I can leave DS to play on his own for a little while but feel I would interact more with him if only I knew what to do!
thanks

What about singing and hand clapping games ? - mine loves "row row row your boat" with actions and similar songs. (It helps having my 3 yr old to join in with it all)
Alternatively, a ball can be a source of good fun - rolling it to and fro between you both, hiding it behind your back, on top of your head etc. as variation on "peek a boo".
Different locations can help break up the monotomy - esp. with good weather, it can be nice doing the same games just outside on a rug!
Do you go to a toddler?s group or a babie?s gym club - these sort of interactive activities help to stimulate interaction. My little one just loves to lie on a mat "talking" to two other little "friends" a similar age, chewing on either end of the same toy.
It is hard work interacting with a baby and it soon gets easier as they are able to understand more and communicate more easily -keep at it, it will get more rewarding and feel more natural as the games develop more of an intellectual angle other than passing a plastic toy between you. In only one year?s time you will be sharing basic jigsaws and similar games.

We put a full length mirror on its side leaned up against the sofa, and dd just goes mad showing off to herself. Peekabo would entertain her for hours tho.
