Ds is just 3 and the usual combination of charming and infuriating. However he seems to back himself into corners by refusing to do things he ACTUALLY WANTS TO DO. case in point-today we're supposed to be going swimming-he's asked to do that every day for weeks. He's now refusing to go. Screaming and kicking when I tried to get him out the door. I have changed him back out of his kit and am ignoring him on the sofa for 5 minutes.

After nursery on Tuesday I said 'lets get an ice cream' he threw a massive tantrum because I could only get him one from the shop not an ice cream van and refused to go inside the shop, so he missed out again.

He's been potty training with some issues for about 6 weeks and is extraordinarily clingy at the moment, but how to deal with these tantrums? It's so frustrating, I don't want to sit in the house all day but I don't want to have to fight him tooth and nail when it's supposed to be a treat for him.
