What length of window for 8 week innoculations?

My health visitor was supposed to visit when DD2 was 6 weeks but didn't turn up. I called and was told she was out sick and would call back this Monday past to reschedule. No call. So I called and left a message on their voicemail yesterday but they've not got back to me yet either. The doctors receptionist said they can't book the appointment for dd2 who will be 8 weeks on Friday, until they have a letter from HV. So does anyone know how long they can have the immunisations up until? Doc receptionist suggested 12 weeks but I'm interested to find out in case I'm chasing HV for a while...

They can be done at any point, so don't worry about that.
You will then need to leave 4 weeks before the 12 weeks set of vaccs, and a further 4 weeks til the 16 week injections.
So, the delay doesn't cause a problem, but will delay they final set of vaccs.

Congrats on your new baby.

That sounds really odd. I just booked DD's with the surgery - no HV letter required. I suggest you either contact the practice manager to discuss or get a GP appointment. I'm sure they have targets to get to for immunisations, so would want to get on with your DD2's jabs.

Pico2 My HV gave me some info on immunisations that I had to nread through then sign something in my red book.

That doesn't seem to be a standard process. My DD is 4 months and has had all of her jabs to date. The HV asked if I had booked her first set, but that was it for her involvement.

Thanks all. Glad to know there's done wiggle room! I guess I'll just have to keep calling because the receptionist was very clear that the practice policy is very strict. Confused
