Could anyone please help I have a five year old boy who holds his poo for days! We has started going in his pants again. I have tried rewards, treats, banning "power rangers!!" sitting on toilet reading stories to him. Anybody else had same problem is there a solution. He says it is because he is too busy!!

I have posted here on this subject so many times! Ds1 is now 6.5 but still doesn't go for days on end. Its now every 2-3 days, we were referred to hosp and were put on Movicol, which helped. He could go for weeks without going in the past. There is a solution but it takes time, and you have to keep on top of it. Tropicana Fibre is really good, is equivalent to 7 apples.

any questions. I'm here

Thank you actually had two over the weekend its a miricle. I gave him a pile of books to read on the toilet that has worked twice over the weekend. We think we are getting there but then he goes back to sqaure one. I will see how long the reading works. Also told to set a regular "try time" aside by the doctor ie after his bath or first thing in the morning to get him used to going on the toilet.
