How important is it for grown up children to be able to go back to their childhood home?I do not like where I live.If I moved when DC was18(off to uni ) and dc4 was about to start Secondary would it have a huge impact on them? I would move about 100miles away. Tia

You're over thinking it. It won't actually devastate them although they may be sad/miss seeing friends easily.

Lots of families move all over the world regularly and don't have a childhood home as such! All those people who rent and get moved on every few years for a start.
