Non biological child... My rights?

Completely new to this, not sure if this is the right section or appropriate but Im struggling to know where to turn to for advice?
Have been raising my partners 2.5 year old son since he was 6 months old, see him as my own child and love him to pieces. However his mum and I have recently split up and I am not being allowed to see him/speak to him, not entirely sure as to the reasons why.
Does anyone have any advice/know of any rights I may have?
Thanks in advance

I'm absolutely not an expert but I suspect that you don't have any rights at all in this situation. Assuming you haven't adopted the child or been awarded parental responsibility somehow?

Could you try the Citizens Advice Bureau? Also I think lots of solicitors will do a 30 min free consultation which might be enough to clarify the situation.

You can make an application to Court for contact without being the Childs biological Father. Then a Judge would decide whether it's in the Childs best interests to maintain a relationship with you.
