How do i potty train my very big ds1?

My ds1 has just turned 2 and is showing some interest in using the potty but he is huge for his age - probably the height/weight of a 3 year old and when he sits on the potty his little tiny willy(not in proportion to his age!!!!) hangs over the edge - i tried tucking it in but there is seriously no space - he's overly filling the seat!!
Should i just go straight on to encouraging him to pee on the toilet - isn't that a tricky thing to do? or is there such a thing as a large potty?

My son is very tall and he was offered both the potty and the toilet from day one. He sat on the potty, looked really uncomfortable and never did anything in there. He only ever used the toilet. With a month or so he was standing up to wee too which is so much easier.

My normal sized DS1 hated to sit on potty - we used a trainer seat for the big loo. He much preferred standing up like daddy from early on.

Thanks for those tips! the toilet seat is lying next to the potty so i think i'll just have to hide the potty and offer him the toilet seat and step instead! but no use in telling him to watch his father pee - he's a lazy git and sits down to pee when he's at home! think he needs toilet training too!
