How do you keep the sex life alive when you have a busy family life (three small kids under 4.5) tiredness and lack of body confidence.

How do you keep it exciting? Romance? Sex life? Instead of scheduling time etc.

Erm, we didn't when all three of them were that young. We understood that things would be different for a while and focused on our busy family life for a while.

We have 2 little ones, now 4 and 5 so close in age. And I feel we have always had plenty of us time.

We share bedroom with children still but have plenty of 'us' time in living area. We put children to bed around 9pm. Have no tv anyway, and have no internet after 9pm rule if both home ( dh is currently abroad!), so 9-11pm roughly every night is our time together we hang out/ chat/ adult time!/ drink wine/ generally just together

Ours both sleep well overnight though, but have always shared our room/ bed, not sur sure how well they would if separate as usually at least one leaves their bed and ends up in ours every night, but means we all sleep. They sleep 9pm-8am

I think the no internet rule is a good one. I'm stealing that one.

Faith??? It's not terribly exciting having a 17 month old and being pregnant but I have faith that we were great before so will be again. This is a relatively short time to do without romance as we've been together 17 years! It might sound a bit corny but we are actually growing closer (you wouldn't think it with the bickering but we are) because we're parents now. It's a deeper feeling and commitment. We still share the same values and make each other laugh. I want to rip his head off a lot at the minute though, again, hopefully just a pregnant thing!

With the body confidence thing- it really doesn't help that he gets better looking as he gets older whereas I'm just getting fatter and more knackered looking.
