Low single bed for toddler - recommendations?

My 2.5 ds has grown out of his cot so we want to buy an adult sized single bed - which are best for toddlers eg. low in height and safe?

Also, any recommendations for transition as it will be a new room and he is still in a Grobag. Does sleep improve as ds is waking at 4.45am at the moment.

I've just got a toddler bed from ikea, it's plenty big enough to last a few years and very low and has a little guard rail.

I think it was a Mygga? Only £55 too.

We've got the Ikea Kura which is a reversible bed, start with it low to the ground and then turn it over when they're a bit bigger and it becomes a mid sleeper with space underneath for storage/to make a mini bunk bed/turn into a reading corner/den, if you google kura hacks you'll get loads of ideas of what you can do with it. We've still got it in the low, toddler mode but it looks nice with bunting on and some little lights on the wall and it's not far to fall out of! My daughter's sleep did improve (after the first few nights of novelty when it took a while for her to actually go to sleep!) because she had more room to move around in it, we moved her last summer when the weather started getting warmer and she was getting hot/cramped in her cot.

I just bought a normal wooden framed bed. DS has only fallen out once and children of that age are robust so as long as you don't go for something unusually high it will be ok.

Argos Finland pine bed, only 30cm floor clearance, I had this one for my dc when they were toddlers many years ago

We started with a mattress on the floor - can't get simpler than that.

We just bought a normal bed and a bed guard, never had any problems
