Do they sleep under a cover? Do they kick it off?

Both mine slept in a baby sleeping bag

CoodleMoodle · 10/05/2015 22:09

Mine is currently in a baby sleeping bag, but with a thin cellular blanket over the top. Our house is still very cold, and she likes it for comfort. Once it gets warmer she'll either go without the bag or in a thinner one. She's 14 months.

MrsAukerman · 10/05/2015 22:09

As soon as he hit the minimum weight requirement he started sleeping in the bags (grobags but cheaper versions from ikea or kiddicare)

Sorry, meant to add we've had the same set up since she was tiny, about 2 or 3 months old. Before that she just had a couple of cellular blankets. In the summer she just had the thin blanket, then we went back to sleeping bags when it got cooler Smile

ShoeJunkie · 10/05/2015 22:12

Both DSs (3 years and 4 months) are in gro bags.

FromAtoZ · 10/05/2015 22:51

Just a cotton flat sheet and a cellular blanket on her. Fitted sheet underneath her. (she is 12 weeks old)

My other children aged 2.5, 5 and two 7 year old's all sleep with a fitted sheet on the mattress and a flat sheet then a quilt in a cover over them they have different togs for different times of the year they all currently have a 4.5 tog on their beds

Writerwannabe83 · 11/05/2015 10:37

When DS was first born and for the first 4 months of his life I had him tucked in with blankets. When he learnt to roll I switched him to the baby sleeping bags. He's 13 months old now and still in his bag.

TheSconeOfStone · 11/05/2015 11:15

Mine were both in Gro-bags until they were 2. A cellular blanket on top if cold. I didn't have to worry about them slipping under a duvet and overheating or the blanket slipping off and getting cold.

BlacknWhitePanda · 11/05/2015 11:19

Ds was swaddled until 3 months, now he's in a grobag.

catg83 · 11/05/2015 11:57

Sleeping bag here. We changed from blankets as DS thrashes his legs in his sleep and was waking himself up throwing the blanket on his face.

Mrs81 · 11/05/2015 15:36

In theory DS (nearly 2) sleeps under a toddler duvet. In fact he insists on sleeping on top of it, clutching his blanket too. Doesn't get cold though (vest + sleepsuit). He wriggles around so much that unless we tucked all the edges in restrained him he'd never stay under anything at the mo!

squigglehead · 11/05/2015 16:13

7 month DS is in a sleeping bag, will probably stay that way until they don't make them big enough anymore!

squizita · 11/05/2015 16:40

Gro bag here too.

NerrSnerr · 11/05/2015 16:45

Mine sleeps in a gro bag too.

TheGirlAtTheRockShow · 11/05/2015 18:41

Supermarket versions of grobags! She was swaddled until 8 weeks, then a bag. She fidgets and kicks so anything else would get kicked off.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 12/05/2015 05:26

Grobag plus blanket

Squiggle the biggest grobag is 3-6yrs I night nannied for a family once and the 5yr old would only sleep in a grobag.

My ds1 was in grobag til nearly 3 even once in a bed actually helped the transition from cot to bed as was familiar

Nolim · 12/05/2015 05:59

Grobag. Love it.

siblingrevelryagain · 12/05/2015 06:04

Grobags for all mine until the sides came off their cot beds at around 3 years old. None of mine were climbers when in a cot, which I put down to not having free legs in a grobag! I swear by them (on cold nights they had layers underneath-long sleeves vest/sleepsuit, then a hoodless fleece or jumper over the top).

munchkinmaster · 12/05/2015 06:05

Duress

reallywittyname · 12/05/2015 14:59

Swaddlewrap thing till she outgrew it, then grobags, then a duvet when she was just under 2. Now in her big girl's bed and loves it.

NoMontagues · 12/05/2015 15:20

munchkin Grin

Grobags here too.

NoMontagues · 12/05/2015 15:29

I've just seen this on the grobag website - they actually make one that goes up to 10 yrs.

Just in case anyone is worried about having to leave grobags behind!

K8eee · 12/05/2015 18:14

dd who is 13 months sleeps under a duvet. it's taken her a couple of months but she's used to it now. I know the recommended age Is a year but I didn't want to spend out on sleeping bags the next size up as it would've fitted her in length but not round her neck. I was worried she may suffocate Sad

applecatchers36 · 12/05/2015 18:28

DD aged 15 months sleeps in sleeping bag plus blanket

neversleepagain · 12/05/2015 22:22

Swaddled as newborns then into sleeping bags. At 2.7 they are still in sleeping bags.
