Ds cracked wees on day 2, but is struggling with poos. He has been withholding and didn't poo for 5 days and was HYSTERICAL. He's now been prescribed movicol which is helping in that he's going once a day now at least but he dances around the potty for HOURS when he needs to go, getting on/off/on/off until he actually finally goes when he can't hold it any longer. How do I help him? It's totally ruling our lives at the moment.

You see, I've always wondered if, when pooing, the poo hits the bottom of the potty then rubs against the toddler's bum because it can't 'drop'? How about trying a toddler seat on a full size loo?

We're still struggling a bit with poos 4 weeks in. She gets them sometimes but gets caught out with them coming quickly and has accidents. Obviously a different probably to you but poo seems to be a difficult thing to crack x
