Aargh I HATE teething

Does anyone else's DCs suffer badly with teething? We get it so badly in our house...streaming noses, coughing at night, so so so so much dribble, vile nappies, chomping on everything in sight...oh and now hugely disrupted sleep even after calpol! Entirely my fault with the sleep as know that nurofen is far superior for teething pain. I am like a zombie today though and still no sign of these molars apart from big bumps under the gum!

Please reassure me that you have similar experiences?!

Yep had all of that plus bleeding, eruption hematoma's (google images!) and a calpol/medicine refuser. It was grim and I admit to doing a small happy dance when it was over. Stay strong, this too shall pass. Sending virtual supportive hugs xx

Ooh they look horrific really painful! I do feel sorry for her as suffered with my wisdom teeth until they were removed. Thank you virtual hugs are needed as I'm back at work ft now so need my sleep! Just got to remember everything with parenting is a phase and it shall pass...just seems like a loooong phase when you're going through it!

It certainly does seem loooong, made all the more annoying by well meaning folks saying things like "treasure these days, the go so fast!" .... well it doesn't bloody feel like it when your sitting at work feeling like your own body weight in caffeine isn't even going to touch your tiredness levels ;-)...I went back ft at 7 months so yes I lived through all the teething while holding down a very demanding job! xx

Oh yes so true!! I know they're well meaning but you just want someone to agree that it's rubbish and not try and placate you!! Just got to remember it will get better...once all 20 teeth are through! Not helped by the fact she has constant bugs from ft nursery either oh well strong immune system for school and all!
