Why do I want to keep maternity clothes despite wanting NO more babies???

I have 2 children, have NO desire to have any more and am visiting friends this weekend who lent me their maternity clothes.
I am more than happy to give back what they lent and also wanted to give away all mine too but why do I feel the need to retain them???? I am about to get rid of all baby stuff like moses basket etc and feel nothing about selling this???
Please tell me this is completely normal. DS1 is 3.5 and DS2 is 6 months. DH is having vasectomy

I'm keeping our options open .

BUT, I truly hated my maternity clothes after having DD2, b/c I'd lived in the same ones for DD1 as well.

So had NO qualms about getting rid of those.

My favourites are still hanging in the wardrobe. I only sold the stuff on Ebay that just wasn't comfy, or rode up etc.

I also can't part with the mountain buggy or the little tiny baby clothes and grobags.

I'm sure if I really needed the money they would be gone though.

I can't get rid of the baby clothes, though.

I saw all these newborn babies today.

Awwww. They were so cute! The tiny cry.

i've kept mine too, despite giving away all the baby stuff. and not wanting any more children. it's weird isn't it.

Mine are in a suitcase up the attic.

Why - I don't know . Just can't bring myself to get rid of them.

DH says we are definitely never having any more.

I am more undecided!!!! But we probably won't.

Even if we do, there's no way I'm wearing any of my previous maternity clothes - they have been passed around 4 other people since I wore them, and I've worn most of them for two pregnancies!!! They're not in very good condition!!!

I want another baby aswell!!!

Pining I think the word is.

Does this feeling ever go away?

I've kept the tops I gave birth in (rugby shirts with slits down the sides for breast feeding) - I wore these constantly during the first few weeks with each of my 3 dds. I occasionally come across them in the airing cupboard and they bring back lovely memories. I can't let them go!
Also one maternity bra I keep for old times sake.
The only time I had decent sized breasts.

Ah now see the maternity bras I am happy to get rid of they were 38G yep G. Started as 34B before babies BF and had 38F slimmed down to pre-preg weight and was 34D so gave my gorgeous 34B bras away to my mate.

As I am only 6 months post preg am still carrying a lot of weight so am 36D.

I don't even really like the maternity wear, wore a lot of it slobbing round the house and then wore the good stuff when I went out

We are definitely not having any more babies, maybe I should keep a few things and therefore I can re-live the memories, although I do have some lovely DVD footage of my big pregnant belly. Alas no giving birth tops, C sections for both.
