Key workers - do you give presents when children move rooms?

Just that really! DS moves to a new room at the end of this week and I'm trying to think something other than chocolate to give as a gift (did chocs at xmas). His key worker has been brilliant and I'd like to say thank you with a gift. Maximum budget is about £20-30. What have others done when moving up to a new room? Thanks x

I don't tend to buy gifts so I'll probably not be much use but we've always baked as a gift and it's always been well received.

I bought some posh biscuits for the room and a thank you card. Think it was a little unexpected!

A friend of mine bought a jewellery box for her keyworker. She had been outstanding. when my first keyworker went on Mat leave, I knitted a baby cardigan.. probably a similar budget to yours for both of us.

I think posh stationery, or smellies or booze is generic but makes a clear message that you thought she (?) was fabulous. My other recommendation is to write to the nursery manager. my keyworker stopped me in the corridor after I did that to say it had got back to her and she was REALLY grateful.
