DD has had phases, she's 22mo now and prob had 3/4 spells where the pushchair was not her favourite thing! I just use something else - we've got a smart trike, or shopping I can use a trolley, or even a different pushchair has worked. Then after a few weeks she decides it isn't so bad.

Obviously depends how old your dc is! When she was tiny I swapped about between the carrycot, the car seat and the pushchair seat.

I use a sling. She will tolerate the pushchair occasionally, but generally she hates it

2.5 year old screams if put in the pushchair!

From 9mo until about 2, DS screamed blue murder.

He was an early walker and that's all he wanted to do. We slinged him until he hot too heavy and wiggly - he nearly fell right out of the back of the Ergobaby ShockBlush

He is now 3yo. I haven't carried him for well over a year as I have a bad back. DH, until recently, would carry him and then complain about having a sore back, I just told him to refuse, and after a couple of times DS stopped asking.

He has the pushchair now if we're doing a long activity (eg zoo), or having a long day where we know he'll be tired.

But I still remember him screaming blue murder from his pushchair and straining to get out with a furious red face! Ah, those were the days!

How old is s/he?

My DC2 got to a stage she just wanted to be free with her big brother.

Before then we tried changing her view from looking at whoever was pushing her to facing forward. Or checking if she was simply too hot or too cold or too crowded with toys.

I was used to carrying groceries etc on the shelf so it was a shock carrying it all myself especially when Madam got tired and wanted up.

Am waiting for 5mo DS2 to START liking the buggy...

DD hates being put in and screams blue murder for about five minutes, then realises it isn't so awful after all. Bribery helps - breadsticks are ideal.

Mine was fine until she learned to walk at 13 months and has hated the pushchair since! I thought it would be a short lived phase but she's 17 months now and still hates it.

My 5mo goes through love/hate phases with his pram. When he decides he doesn't want to be in there, I wear him in a sling or just carry him about for a few days and then try again and he's absolutely fine.
