Roomier vests and sleep suits?

DD is 17 weeks and is a long baby in addition to being quite chubby! I am finding that many of the vests and sleepsuits we have bought or have been given have been manufactured with the shorter, skinnier baby in mind. Am going to need to buy some 6-9 month sized ones as she will soon be out of 3-6. Which brands are best for the baby requiring a slightly roomier garment?! Many thanks!

I always think next are bigger sizes

H&M size big, they were always good for my big dd, who also wore reusables so had a chunky bum! You can also get vest extenders to give extra length but not all brands are compatible so double check which you need.

Thank you both, will head to Next and H&M! Smile

If your baby is a long chubby baby the older sizes will probably be a better idea, I have a long chubby 4 month old who wears 9-12 month babygrows and vests, I find h+m is designed for slimmer babies (but the babygrows don't have feet so you get some extra use before they grow out of them length ways) supermarket babygrows seem to fit well.

Concur. Just buy the next size up. None of mine were ever in the correct age clothes, and still aren't. They are just guides.

Next are enormous. Sainsbury can be too.

SallyMischievo · 10/04/2015 19:31

That's fab, thank you! DM bought Tesco ones which look so skinny that I suspect the poppers won't do up! We have also found Boots and John Lewis sizing to be more geared towards the shorter, slimline baby Smile Will try Next and Mothercare.

Vest extenders on the nappy lady or little lambs websites or eBay site. Fit next and tesco bodysuits (prob others too but those are the only ones I have)

Another vote for mothercare, I have to roll the sleeves up for my little but chunky son
They are the longest ones I have come across

Highlove · 10/04/2015 20:26

Mothercare - they're enormous. My long but fairly slim 13mo still wears their 6-9 vests!

VenetiaFleet · 10/04/2015 20:27

John Lewis sizes are enormous! Avoid Primark as they're tiny.

Seasidegirly · 10/04/2015 22:48

M&S - my DS is nearly 7 months and he still has plenty of room in his 0-3. Mothercare as well.

Acunningruse · 11/04/2015 11:09

Agree Sainsburys and Next definitely larger sizes.
