Bursary/grants and tax credits, childcare etc

Does anyone know how bursaries, grants and loans are viewed in terms of income when it comes to tax credits? And also whether it is taken into account for eligibility for the 2 year old nursery funding?

They are not counted for tax credit purposes. This means they also don't affect the eligibility for 2 year old nursery funding as this is checked through your tax credits.
