I still feel like a kid myself! When I think back to when I was a kid, parents seemed so responsible, and here I am. What am I doing???

Sometimes I get so scared about the responsibility of being a parent! Anyone else feel like that?

Oh yes, it's the old "still feel the same inside as when I was 16" syndrome. Always worry that one day someone will tap me on the shoulder and say "Miaou! We have reason to believe that you are masquerading as a responsible mother when in fact you are a spotty teenager"

It's a scary thought isn't it. I still feel about 14.

I know exactly what you mean. My oldest was 13 last week and i'm like oh god i can't be old enough to have a teenage child.

Cant say that I did, I seemed to take to it like duck to water. Mind you it took me 6 months before I realised he was really mine and no-one was taking him back

I've got three too and what I find scarey is that they all need different styles of parenting and I don't even feel equipped to do it for one!

LoveMyGirls · 02/11/2006 13:13

i do feel like that all the time except im not just looking after my own, im also a childminder and i can't believe people think im responsible enough to look after their kids as well as my own tbh i keep forgetting ill be 25 in a few weeks, i just got graded good by ofsted (which im very proud of) so i guess i must be good at it but sometimes i just want to run screaming to the hills that im just a kid
