Slings

Wore my sling with 8 week old in today. I loved it and he loved it although his head dud flop back once when I bent down. he's ok I just feel terrible!
anyway I'm planning on going out with it tomorrow for a walk. I'm already going to make sure it's a but tighter as he did also seem to slide down a bit (it's a wrap sling) but...what should he wear when in it? it's meant to be a gorgeous day tomorrow and I don't want him to get too hot but equally don't want him to get chilly!

With the head lolling thing, roll up a Muslim behind his neck, in a sausage shape, and roll the material around it to create a sort of pillow.

With clothing - cold weather - never anything thick like a pram suit or massive coat. The sling is an extra layer of clothing, and he will have the heat from your body too. I used to have long sleeved vest, babygrow and light cardigan, hat, socks and leggings on cold day. Maybe mittens if LO didn't pull them off / suck and make them wet.

On a hot day, just a babygrow or a romper suit. Layers are handy as you can peel off / reapply if temp changes. I guess what he would usually wear on a warm day, minus a layer on body? Leggings are really handy.

We took our 10 month old twins out in UV suits in the slings last week in Spain as I wanted to keep their arms and legs covered (they also had factor 50 on).

just imagining how you would abduct someone from a mosque and roll them up and tuck them into your sling can see the daily fail headlines already!!

my dd loved our wrap but unfortunately I found it really uncomfortable but I found she was much happier with less layers as the closeness to me made her really hot
