what type of phone?

KittyFan83 · 06/04/2015 19:19

PFB?!? Private Facebook Photos? Not sure I follow you there…

The quickest way will be to plug your phone into your computer (assuming you have one) - anything wireless will probably be a lot slower and may cost you data charges depending on your phone contract.

If you can explain what PFB means (I'm probably being a bit dense here!), what phone you have, and whether you have a computer, we'll probably be able to give you a more accurate answer.

Cables are a couple of quid in a supermarket.

MagicAlwaysLeadsToTrouble · 06/04/2015 19:34

Buy a cable from Ebay. You will use it loads!

Picasa is a fab free photo sorting/storage/editing programme you can download. I plug my phone in every few weeks and dump into external hard drive via Picasa.

HarrietSchulenberg · 06/04/2015 19:35

I had to download Samsung Kies to my PC to get my Galaxy to connect. Once I'd done that I followed the instructions so my PC recognized the phone and I could download the pics easily.

milkyman · 06/04/2015 19:37

Thanks what type of cable?

Apologies for gatecrashing but have just had similar problem and I DID have a cable. It imported all my photos but also every logo or photo that came with the phone.

I looked up a couple of youtube videos showing how to do it. Unfortunately my laptop didn't take any notice so we were no further forward Sad

If there is an easier way I'm all for it.

HarrietSchulenberg · 06/04/2015 19:37

Info here.

And you'll still need the data cable, probably. Mine came with phone.

milkyman · 06/04/2015 19:38

Could I buy from amazon?

Oh joy, help is at hand. Shall investigate Samsung Kies! I expect it will all go horribly wrong Grin

(The cable I have has a standard USB thingummy one end and a micro one the size of the charger connection at the other end. I am not technical)

milkyman · 06/04/2015 19:42

Thanks, I lost the cable I think

The charging cable it came with should come apart, so that you can plug it into the computer.

Then mount as a USB. Don't use Samsung kies, it's terrible.

GlitterTwinkleToes · 06/04/2015 19:48

I believe its a universal micro cable you'll need. Fits most smart phones Smile

HarrietSchulenberg · 06/04/2015 20:02

How on earth do you do it without Kies? My PC wouldn't recognise the phone until I installed it.

annoyedofnorwich · 06/04/2015 20:28

You can set it up to auto transfer all photos to a private Facebook album.
