Need advice on weaning

hello!

Hope someone can help.

I decided to start weaning at 6 months. So that's in 2 weeks time. Being easter sunday my husband put her highchair together so she could watch the lunch. She slumped forward.

I've always been a bit concerned that her head hangs a little forward. But she can hold her head up and look round. She's rolling now too.

But if she can't manage a highchair should I be worried? Should I hold off weaning?

Please advise.

Maybe get your HV a ring and see what they say? She can get much better in 2 weeks too.

Bouncy chair or a high chair that has better shoulder straps?

Can she sit unaided? Will you be doing BLW?

MissyBear10 · 06/04/2015 19:02

Thanks for your replies.

No she can't sit unaided - was planning annabel Karmel and a bit of baby led later.

So a friend suggested a bumbo - had resisted as she looked so uncomfortable. But by session 2 today the improvement was remarkable.

Seeing my GP this month though for men b jab and will also ask then.

Any further advice warmly welcomed.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

There's no real rush to wean. It won't matter if she's 6.5 months or 7 months. I'd wait til she's sitting by herself and then just go straight for BLW. It's so much easier than faffing about with purées!
