My dd has always been a bit iffy with doing poos. Has been getting better we make sure she has lots of fruit and veg and loads of fluid. But recentley have had a brake through. I have start to massage her tummy every day and then leave her in her room with the potty and no pants on, not mentioning the fact we want her to do a poo. Sure enough 5-10 mins later she shout mummy done a poo.
I got told how to do this on a course at work about bowel problems (i am a nurse) Start on the lower right side of the tummey and gentley need up then across and then down the other side. Do this for a while then do the same but stroking instead. The up across and down is important as it move the poo down the bowel. I just use baby oil to do this. Hope this help someone, it definitley helped to get things moving every day. Let me know if it helps.
