Baby gagging during feeding

I have been giving my 6 month old DD purees for just over a week now. We started off with Ella's kitchen but I have made a batch of homemade purees and frozen them. However when I give them to her, she just gags. I've tried making them thinner but she is still gagging today.

I have just tried to give her an Ella's pouch and shes gagging with that now too. Could it be shes not ready for weaning? She's been ok the past couple of times though? I dont think that she doesnt like the veg ive been giving her (sweet potato) as she had it in a pouch yesterday just fine!

Gagging is really common when weaning. It's normal and nothing to be concerned about- though some babies have a more sensitive gag reflex than others. If she's 6 months there's really no need to go to the effort of pureeing stuff. If she likes sweet potato just offer her some chunks of that and let her feed herself.

Im no expert but i think this could be quite common. I have 6 month old triplets im weaning, one gags at anything (including milk when shes in the mood), one eats anything with ease and the third will only do Blw. Could this be a option? Or i have found that they my 'gagger' is worse off homemade food. I think its impossible to get it as smooth. But i think if there only gagging and not choking its just there way of getting used to textures.
