Right decision made the dummies are going this week, I'm just not sure if I should just bin them and distract my DS or if anyone has any other experience.
My DS is 19mths
TIA

Yes bin them otherwise you'll be tempted to give them back. I found this really hard to do. Go cold turkey it'll be hard at first but after a few days it's forgot about although my ds was nearly 3 so his understanding was a bit better and knew it wasn't coming back

Bin! Otherwise there's too much temptation to give in. Much easier for them to understand they are just gone for good.

We hung them on the washing line in a wee bag for the dummy fairy to collect overnight.

Thanks, he began with just using them for sleeping but he's now becoming more aware of them and actively opening his bag to look for them.
Now he's starting to talk I can't understand him whilst he has one in his mouth and want to try and get rid before he's old enough to understand and I have to try and fight them off him.

Me and my DH are off work whilst its easter and DS is home from nursery so I'm thinking it's going to be the perfect time to do it!

Leave them for the Easter bunny to give to the baby bunnies? That's how my mum got rid of my sister's (mine got left for Rudolph Grin) Bunny leaves a present in thanks?
