Dd is 6 months. Had a cold last week ... ebf so wanted to be fed and upright (snot) 24/7. EBF so dh couldn't help much. Have had 2 hr sleep per night.
Snot has given her the runs. Trying to start solids (started 2 weeks ago) but nervous as don't want to introduce something alergic but not notice due to cold/runs.
DH usually works 5 days a week but this week it's 6 and I'm burned out, stir crazy and feel like shit.

Anyone else having a shitty week? Angry

...oh and when he does come home, I'm behind on loads of chores.
He could help by doing the chores.
or
By holding dd
...But either way it's not sleepy time for Squizita.

Responding in sympathy Sad DD is 5 months and teething, has diarrhoea, nappy rash, fighting sleep... not letting anyone hold her apart from me and OH... Plus OH is also working overtime and there are so many chores to do.

These few weeks are actually making me yearn to go back to work.

Forget the solids and forget the chores. Make yourself a flask up, grab some snacks and spend the afternoon in bed with your lo. Have you tried ibuprofen, Karvol and a nasal aspirator?

Hope things improve soon Thanks

Ah yes the delights of the snot sucker.

She loves it! She also gets a "high" look when I put baby vicks on her and sniffs like mad!

Think if someone had explained the delights of a nasal aspirator to me about 12 years ago, I'd be childless still...Smile

Apparently you can get a battery operated one but I'm not sure it's worth it.

Go on Amazon for a laugh though ... In Russia they sell ones that run off the hoover!! Shock A friend who lives there sent me a link once! To gawp at not to use!
