Are those bath chairs a must-have?

DD, nearly 7mo, is too splashy for the baby bath but too small and unsteady sitting for me to cling onto in the big bath unless I get in with her. Are those bath chairs any good or a gimic?

I used one for DS, a baby one for when he was tiny and a Safety First one when he was older. It saved my back and made the whole thing about a million times easier.

I used one for DS1 but not going to bother with DS2. Have started bathing him in couple inches of water lying down so just his ears submerged and he LOVES it. Will just sit him up on rubber mat when older so he can smile and look adoringly at him big brother Smile

gah scary article oobe, important to point out but i think the issue is the false sense of security more than the chairs being inherently dangerous?
