experience of early teething?

My lo is almost 11 weeks and has recently gotten really fussy. She;
Fights naps
Seems to want to comfort feed alot, headbutting me for boob, but when my nipple gets in her mouth she gets really cross and screams
Shoves her whole fist in her mouth
Dribbles a lot
Her gums look hard and she loves chomping on a teether
Now wakes every hour at night (f**k) when she was doing 6 or 7 hour stretches

I think we're into the 12 week growth spurt but wondering if there's also an element of teething there? I mentioned it to the hv and she almost laughed at me so i feel like a bit of a plonker.

My Dd was teething around then too so not impossible, baby's can be born with teeth.

Freeze some breast milk into ice lollies for her to knaw on, nutritional,
And numbs her saw gums.

FYI so your not suprised like I was. The earlier they get their teeth the sooner they tend to lose them. Dd lost 2 bottom ones before she was 5, a top one last week and has another wobbly top one now.

DS had 3 teeth by 3 months and 4 by 4 months.

He started teething at 8weeks - HV laughed at me. Few days later he cut his first tooth!

That's really interesting thank you. Hoping the sleep will settle down with the teeth but we'll see. At the moment we're just making it through day by day.

Babies can get teeth at any time really, they are all different so it could well be that they are on their way. However, they can have these symptoms for months before the teeth actually show. my DD started showing similar symptoms around the same time as yours but only just cut her first two teeth last week at 5.5 months. I found that I could tell when they were just about to come through as she was obviously in pain rather than the usual dribbling etc.

Lots of teethers to chew on, try the Ashton & Parsons powders if symptoms get really bad and when they are cutting try gels and calpol if really in pain.

My lo was born with a tooth and is now 6 weeks old. I'm certain he's teething but nobody else seems convinced!
