Crawling and cosleeping - possible?

DS is 10mo. We cosleep, with him in a cot with the side down pushed up against our bed.

He's just starting to crawl and this morning I woke to find him quietly scooting down to the bottom of our bed and heading for the edge! Is this the end of cosleeping for us. I see things about people cosleeping into toddler years, but can't imagine how you'd do that with a moving baby.

I'm going to be seriously sleep deprived if I have to give up cosleeping. It's the only thing that helps me to survive Hmm

we took our bed down and put the mattress on the floor. then no-one gets hurts as baby gets bigger and starts elbowing you out of bed...

Once she became mobile, we spent an afternoon making sure DD knew how to get off the bed and couch safely (feet first, hanging on, lowering down slowly.) We knew she wasn't going to just crawl head first off the bed (nor did she). If you're worried, you can always put the mattress on the floor until he can be trusted to climb down safely.

We co sleep sometimes with 17 month old DD between us if she is having a bad night.

When she wakes she generally flops and bounces on our heads so we wake up before she gets up to any mischief but she does know how to get down from the bed safely.
